Dr. Bill Webster learned about grief from personal experience after the loss of his young wife in 1983. He also understands it from a practical and academic perspective, graduating from the University of Toronto with his doctorate in 1990. As part of that doctoral programme, Bill began facilitating grief support programs in numerous communities. Dr Bill conducts many professional seminars and educational programs on the topics of grief both in North America and in Britain. He has authored several books, including “Understanding Bereavement”; “Grief Journey”; “When Someone You Care About Dies”; “When Someone You Care About is Grieving”; “A Not-So-Jolly Christmas”; “Now What”; “Why Me?” and “Help Me …if you Can”, as well as many articles and tapes. His DVD series “Grief Matters” provides individuals, communities and agencies across the country the resources to learn about grief and to provide meaningful support. Dr. Webster brings a unique blend of personal experience, academic education and many years of practical application to his work, combining his own story with his knowledge and sense of humor to effectively communicate his message. |
