Learning2Cope believes Grieving People need 3 things:

Education     Empathy   Support.

Once people understand that grief is a natural reaction which can be worked through (education); and that someone understands something of what they are going through (empathy); they are able to receive help (support) in rebuilding their lives and making the most of what they have left.

Our Certificate programmes help you understand the issues AND give you the skills required to effectively impart all 3 necessary components in an effective grief support programme.

Would YOU like to become a certified facilitator offering grief support? Think of how your COMMUNITY or WORKPLACE could benefit from an accredited support programme for people grieving a significant loss?

We currently offer TWO accredited programmes of Grief Education:

The Grief Awareness Certificate

This programme provides a solid foundation of understanding in the process of grief, and how to help grieving people. It will be valuable to people working with those who have suffered a significant loss, including funeral service, nursing home staff, school personnel, human resources, hospice and grief support volunteers among many others.

The Grief Facilitator Certificate

This award enables you to identify and develop the skills and actions required to organize and facilitate an effective grief support programme, including an eight week group model. This award will be invaluable to people wishing to organize and facilitate a grief support programme and to local communities and agencies such as funeral homes, doctors, hospitals, hospice, and other agencies and concerned about offering quality care to grieving people.
